The Boston Red Sox have been the most talked about team in baseball over the last few days. The reason for this isn’t the team’s back-to-back wins over the red-hot Kansas City Royals, but instead the drama swirling around Rafael Devers and first base.

Boston Red Sox owner John Henry and manager Alex Cora met with Rafael Devers regarding his public disinterest in moving to first base, according to MassLive.com's Chris Cotillo. Chief baseball officer Craig Breslow described the meeting as an "honest exchange," per Cotillo.

That’s no longer the case as the Red Sox ask him to learn an entirely new position. There exists at least the potential for Devers to flub chances and not dig out throws and cost his team games. And even if that doesn’t happen, Devers could fear it might.
