Verizon Wireless is officially giving its customers a "my bad" credit for its lengthy cell service outage on Wednesday. The company announced that customers would receive "a $20 account credit that can be easily redeemed by logging into the MyVerizon app," the company posted on social media.
Verizon Wireless shared an update on the nationwide service outage Wednesday night, stating around 10:30 p.m. that the issue had been resolved.
Verizon is offering a $20 credit to customers who could not make or receive phone calls due to Wednesday’s widespread cell service outage. The carrier announced the compensation for the nationwide service disruption Thursday in a post on the social media platform X.
Nearly 200,000 users reported their service being disrupted on Wednesday, according to Downdetector, with reports flooding in around noon. A majority of the issues were reported to be related to mobile phone connectivity, at 61%, followed by users having no signal, at 35%, and mobile internet disruptions, at 4%.
