There is no evidence of a shooter at the University of South Carolina’s campus library, a school spokesperson said Sunday, after a schoolwide alert about a shooter who had been reported to be on the Columbia campus.

The two incidents occurred just days after there were shooting scares at both Villanova and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Aug. 21.

An active shooter has been reported on the Columbia campus at South Carolina on Sunday evening. An alert was posted to the Law Enforcement and Safety page on the school’s website. The alert noted the active shooter was reported on campus at the Thomas Cooper Library,
