In the blink of an eye, the NFL has gone from gearing up for Super Bowl LX to now taking its first steps into the offseason.

The Atlanta Falcons will not allow former No. 4 overall pick Kyle Pitts to hit free agency, placing the franchise tag on their star tight end.

On Monday, though, reports emerged indicating that the team will be placing the $15 million franchise tag on Pitts, giving the two sides more time to come to terms on a long-term contract extension.

The New York Jets plan to use a tag on running back Breece Hall to prevent him from entering free agency, while the futures of Kenneth Walker III and David Montgomery remain uncertain.
