We moved into a condo recently, and hate how loud the PTAC units are. Has anyone ever replaced PTAC units with split unit A/C’s by installing the external unit inside the PTAC sleeve? Do-able?

We have PTAC units in our apartment (gas heating/electric cooling)and can’t stand them. Is there any way to replace them with radiators or some other radiant heat system?
