Anglers targeting Chinook salmon in Manistee found a few fish along the shelf in 80 to 115 feet of water while fishing the top 50 feet of the water column with spoons.

The best fishing occurred in 250 to 325 feet of water, with the highest catch rates around 300 feet. Anglers noted that fish were biting but many did not hook up, resulting in numerous missed fish.
