The Good Google's Pixel 2 has a superb camera with OIS and excellent low-light shooting. It's water-resistant and Google Lens calls up a trove of information to help you explore your surroundings.

The smaller Pixel 2 measures in at 145.7 x 69.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs 143 grams, while the Pixel 2 XL measures 157.9 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm and weighs 175 grams.

With its Pixel 2, Google is playing catchup to Apple and Samsung. But it's still among the best smartphones you can buy.

It's not clear in what countries or on what carriers the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be available. The 2016 models are available on the Google Store, Verizon, Project Fi, and Best Buy.
