Lake-effect snow tapers off in central Indiana as a new light snow system moves in overnight, potentially impacting Friday morning commute.

Thursday was a mild day across Southern New England, but colder temperatures Thursday night into Friday morning could cause icy spots on area roadways.

A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Friday at 6:06 a.m. for black ice until 9:15 a.m. for Berkshire County.

BROWN COUNTY (WLUK) - Snow led to a rough commute, for some, Friday morning that spilled into late morning and early afternoon. With more snow and cold temps continuing into weekend, law enforcement reminding drivers it's January, not July.

Frigid winds will continue Thursday night into Friday morning, and a wintry mix is possible this weekend.
