A driver suffered a head injury when he was hit by fragments from a freeway shooting in Oakland following a road rage incident on the Bay Bridge, the California Highway Patrol said.

Early morning road rage shooting shuts down Oakland freeway near Bay Bridge
Investigators found that the shooting stemmed from "a road rage incident" that happened between the victim and another vehicle on the Bay Bridge.
Three crew members — a pilot, a nurse and a paramedic — were in the helicopter and suffered critical injuries, Captain Justin Sylvia of Sacramento Fire said. All three were taken to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment, UC Davis officials stated. The family of the nurse identified her in a statement as Suzie Smith.
A DUI investigation is underway after officers found him in a Range Rover south of a crash scene in the Universal City area.
