Apple has clinched U.S. rights to Formula 1 for flagship streaming service Apple TV in the wake of the box office success of Brad Pitt blockbuster 'F1.'
Apple and Formula 1 agreed on a deal to broadcast Formula 1 races exclusively on Apple TV in the U.S. The agreement also includes Apple TV coverage of practices and other F1 events. The move is an expansion of Apple's relationship with F1—as well as an extension of its move into live sports.
Piastri currently leads the Formula 1 standings with 336 points, followed by McLaren teammate Lando Norris at 314 and Red Bull's Max Verstappen with 273. However he's been named the No. 2 contender to win this year's U.S. Grand Prix, standing 10 seconds behind Verstappen. But of course, like any competition, anything can happen.
