Hanbury Hall has placed woodchips around a 300-year-old Cedar of Lebanon after increased visitor numbers led to its root plate becoming damaged.

Lebanon marked its centenary this week and one man dominated broadcasts from planting a cedar tree, the Middle East state's national emblem, to visiting Beirut's devastated port.
