Fire And ‌Ash is the third movie in the Avatar series, ‌picking up where the second film, Avatar: The Way Of Water, left off – with characters Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) mourning the loss of a son.

Avatar: The Last Airbender's sequel film, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, may have lost its theatrical release and is heading straight to Paramount+ exclusively, but all is not lost in the Avatar universe.

James Cameron's threequel achieved the milestone Saturday at the New Year weekend box office. Other holiday victors include sleeper hit 'The Housemaid' and Timothée Chalamet's 'Marty Supreme.'
