The Seattle Mariners made unique MLB playoff history after they beat the Toronto Blue Jays on 6-2 in Game 5 of the AL Championship Series on Friday night.

The Mariners won ALCS Game 5 against the Blue Jays by the score of 6-2, but they were on the verge of losing all three home games in this series and facing elimination.

With the bases loaded, Eugenio Suárez's grand slam in the eighth sealed it for the Seattle Mariners, lifting them to a 6-2 win Friday and a 3-2 lead in the American League Championship Series.

"This has got to be the biggest home run of my career," said Suarez, who fell behind in the count by two strikes before turning on the sixth pitch he saw from Dominguez.
