Coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes extended an offer to class of 2026 linebacker Xavier Griffin, a five-star recruit who recently decommitted from the USC Trojans. Griffin is the highest-ranked linebacker pros in his class.

Five-Star linebacker Xavier Griffin is the No. 2-rated player in the 2026 recruiting class according to 247Sports. The Georgia native had been committed to the USC Trojans since July of last year, but just announced his decommitment and is now looking for a new home.

Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports reported that 5-star linebacker Xavier Griffin had officially decommitted from USC. He had committed to the Trojans in July 2024. Fawcett then reported that Griffin has scheduled official visits at Ohio State, Alabama, Texas and Florida State.
