The spirit of basketball and Hoosier Hospitality converged at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) yesterday, as a local teacher and her family enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play on the official WNBA All-Star court.
The WNBA finishes off the first half of its season this week before heading into the All-Star break in Indiana, which will be a showcase for young star Caitlin Clark.
The New York Liberty hosts the Indiana Fever tonight at the Barclays Center for an 8:30 PM ET showdown, one of the last regular season games before the All-Star weekend begins.
After the game, coach Stephanie White said, "No update, just felt a little something in her groin, so we'll get it evaluated and see what happens from there." The latest injury puts Clark's participation in Friday's 3-point contest and Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game in jeopardy.
