Smith fulfilled both promises to his mother, and on Tuesday received a record-setting contract that secures his financial future for life. The first message Smith shared on social media was a photo of his mom. He wrote in an Insta story: “That was for you Dorsetta Smith.”

The contract reportedly includes $70 million guaranteed, and will make the 26-year-old the highest average salary of any player at his position in the NFL at $23.5 million annually.
