Demonstrations took place across the country as part of the No Kings movement, coinciding with President Trump's military parade celebrating the Army's 250th anniversary and his 79th birthday.

Spokane, Sandpoint, Seattle and Portland were some places in the Pacific Northwest that held No Kings protests over the weekend.

Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown uploaded a post to her personal Facebook expressing her hopes for Pride celebrations, her support for the declared goal of the No Kings rallies and her thoughts on Wednesday’s protests in support of the two men detained by ICE.

Tens of thousands marched down 5th Avenue, with no reports of property damage, according to the Seattle Police Department. It was over 1.5 miles of people.
