The men's figure skating event kicks off at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. ET. Reigning world champion U.S. phenom Ilia Malinin headlines in search of individual gold.

The Olympic figure skating team event couldn't have been tighter with Japan's Shun Sato skating a near-perfect performance in the men's free skate segment of the event. Earning 2nd, Sato secured silver for Team Japan.

First there were the screams from CBC alpine skiing analyst Erin Mielzynski, then fear and concern for Lindsey Vonn. It was horrible but you could not turn away, a global audience watching the end of an Olympic dream and possibly an iconic sporting career.
