Seahawks designate Robbie Ouzts to return to practice
Robbie Ouzts, who played tight end in college at Alabama before becoming a fifth round pick of Seattle in the 2025 NFL Draft has been designated to return to practice. He has not played since suffering a high ankle sprain in the dominating 44-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
One position the Seahawks could consider upgrading is right guard. Starter Anthony Bradford has especially struggled in pass protection, posting a grade of 18.0 according to Pro Football Focus. If Schneider is placing calls, dialing his old pal Pete Carroll may be worthwhile.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was fined by the NFL for his actions during Monday's win vs. the Houston Texans.
The Seahawks' Sam Darnold is playing as well — if not better — than any other quarterback in the NFL while getting modest recognition.
Ouzts now has up to 21 days of practice before he either must rejoin the team or return to the IR for the rest of the season. Should Ouzts be ready to return to action within the next 21 days, a roster move will have to be made in order to get him back on the active 53-man squad.
The Pittsburgh Steelers saw DK Metcalf lose his cool during the Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers and it's an issue Metcalf had during his days with the Seattle Seahawks.
If Seattle is going to make a move before the deadline, landing an upgrade at right guard should be the top priority.
