Authorities have launched a manhunt after a shooting at a Montana bar left four people dead. State investigators said the shooting happened Friday morning at The Owl Bar in Anaconda.

Four people are dead after a shooter opened fire at Anaconda’s Owl Bar at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Justice.

A manhunt was underway in Montana on Saturday for 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, a former soldier accused of fatally shooting four people at a bar.
