Oklahoma State University’s president Kayse Shrum resigned, effective Monday. The OSU A&M Board of Regents, which governs one of the state’s flagship schools, announced they had accepted her resignation Wednesday.

Oklahoma State University President Dr. Kayse Shrum is expected to resign, with sources confirming the resignation could come as early as today. Dr. Shrum has served as OSU president since July 2021, becoming the university’s first female president. She succeeded Burns Hargis, who held the position from 2007 to 2021.

STILLWATER, Okla. — OSU president Keyse Shrum has resigned, according to the Oklahoma State University A&M Board of Regents. “We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Shrum for her dedicated leadership, unwavering commitment to students, and significant contributions to the OSU System." the board said in a statement on Feb. 5.
