After taking his official visit with Ryan Day and Ohio State in May, Thomas committed to the Buckeyes the following month. However, on Monday, he announced his decision to decommit from the program. Thomas currently holds 31 offers and notably visited Florida State in early October.
Purdue had no business beating the Buckeyes, 49-20, that day, but had playmakers at the right spot that exploited their weakness enough to pull off the impossible. That loss ended up costing them a spot in the College Football Playoff in Urban Meyer’s final year as the head coach.
