Verse, the No. 19 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, led rookie edge-rushers with 77 pressures, the fourth-most among all defenders. Honorable mention: Texans safety Calen Bullock | Bullock led rookies with five interceptions and only allowed 15 completions on 35 targets while playing 89% of Houston's defensive snaps. Barry Sanders is one of nine men to rush for more than 2,000 yards in an NFL season, a select group that Saquon Barkley joined a couple of weeks ago. Sanders is now hoping Barkley becomes a member of another fraternity he is already a part of: running backs to win NFL MVP.

There’s no such problem as the 2024 MVP race enters its final stages. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and Saquon Barkley are superstar talents whose conventional and/or advanced stats match historic standards for MVP consideration.

At 27 years old, Lamar Jackson became the second-youngest player to win multiple MVPs. He led the Ravens to the best record in the NFL, 13-4, beating 10 teams with records at .500 or better. Jackson passed for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns in addition to rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.
