The New York Knicks are back in front in their best-of-seven NBA playoff series against the Detroit Pistons. The Knicks won Game 3 on Thursday, 118-116, as Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 61 points during a chippy game in Detroit.

Karl-Anthony Towns was a key contributor in Game 3 with 31 points and eight rebounds. It was encouraging for the Knicks, who have mostly relied on Jalen Brunson leading the scoring charge in the first two games of the series. Meanwhile, Cade Cunningham has continued to be a difference maker for the Pistons with 24 points and 11 assists on Thursday.

It was a bit of a surprise over the weekend when an unexpected name cropped up on the Knicks' injury report: center Mitchell Robinson, whose impact on the opening-round series agaisnt the Pistons has been limited, but who is still a key because he is the only legitimate center in the Knicks rotation.
