US stock futures rose after another brutal day of trading on Wall Street ended with the S&P 500 closing in correction territory.

The S&P 500 fell 1.4% on Thursday, marking its lowest point of the year and sliding into a market correction, as it is now down 10.1% from the all-time high it reached less than a month ago. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also hit a year-to-date low, closing down 537 points.

However, in addition to its prospects above, Nvidia stock is also surprisingly cheap after the recent pullback. It now trades at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of just 24, which is comparable to the S&P 500 's forward P/E of 20.7.

Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq dropped as Trump's tariff threats and a looming U.S. government shutdown unsettled investors. The Dow fell 0.31% to 41,223.97, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 also declined. Meanwhile,

US stocks slid, with the S&P 500 joining Nasdaq in a correction as Trump threatens 200% tax on European liquor if EU's tax on US whiskey stays.

The Nasdaq is officially in correction territory, with the Nasdaq-100 index about 13% below its recent high as of this writing. This has created some interesting opportunities for long-term investors, in terms of both individual stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Major Wall Street indices, S&P 500 and Nasdaq, fell up to 2% on March 13 due to fears of a trade war. The S&P 500 dropped 1.39%, while Nasdaq fell 1.96%, marking significant declines from their 52-week highs.
