Thousands gathered on the Michigan Capitol lawn on Saturday, June 14, for one of the No Kings demonstrations planned across the country to protest President Donald Trump's administration.

"This is what democracy looks like" said one of the protest organizers, Leah Good.

Protests were planned in nearly 2,000 locations across the country, from city blocks and small towns to courthouse steps and community parks, organizers said.

Thousands of people were expected to gather across Michigan Saturday to protest President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement policies and what they called as his broad authoritarian governance.

Large crowds across the country have gathered to protest the Trump administration — in major cities like Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York and Chicago, as well as in smaller, rural communities.
