On Friday, ESPN’s Nate Taylor reported that the Chiefs were hopeful Simmons could return to the team during the team’s bye week. That bye week comes in Week 10, meaning Simmons would miss a Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills before returning to possibly be back in action for a Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos.
