Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Josh Lowe back from the injured list, gets into lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Given the Rays’ offensive inconsistencies, manager Kevin Cash wasn’t shy about making a big ask. Talking before Thursday’s game in Toronto, Cash said the Rays were hoping Josh Lowe could return from the injured list swinging the hot bat he had in spring training and provide a needed spark to the lineup.

Josh Lowe had a homer among his three hits in his first game since getting injured on opening day, Brandon Lowe homered twice and the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 8-3.
