The Doerner Fir tree in the US state of Oregon is believed to be about 450 years old. The pine tree was still smoking four days after the fire was detected.

The Charlotte Fire department responded to a fire in west Charlotte Sunday evening. Firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Regher Avenue. Officials said there was heavy smoke and fire on the scene. The firefighters contained the fire in 22 minutes. There have been no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
