Former Saint James and Auburn pitcher, Davis Daniel, gets his third start on the mound for the Atlanta Braves’ Tuesday night game against the San Francisco Giants.

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves optioned right-handers Davis Daniel and Wander Suero, who combined to give up nine runs in Tuesday night's 9-0 loss to San Francisco, to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

The Atlanta Braves continue to shuffle arms around with their roster moves on Wednesday after sending multiple struggling pitchers to the minors.

Daniel (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Giants, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out three. The Giants hit Daniel hard in the second inning, plating four runs and getting six batters to reach base during the frame.

After showing a consistent spark in offense during the last series and yesterday’s game, the Braves failed to bring it to tonight’s competition to snag an early series win.
