The MTA says it does not have data as yet on how much money the congestion pricing toll has generated in its first week.

New York’s congestion pricing started, charging a base toll of $9— motorcyclists get a break —for any non-taxi passenger cars entering Manhattan south of 60th Street. Even before then, though, the official Tolls by Mail New York website posted a warning that it’s aware of a text message scam that attempts to collect personal information by threatening late fees on unpaid congestion tolls.

While officials are urging people to take mass transit to avoid that congestion pricing toll, it’s not so easy in parts of the lower Hudson Valley. There is no direct train service from Rockland County to Manhattan.
