Unsurprisingly, San Francisco Giants manager Bob Melvin announced right-hander Logan Webb as the team's Opening Day starter on March 27 against the Cincinnati Reds. Webb has made at least 32 starts for the Giants in each of the last three seasons and is coming off his first All-Star appearance

Melvin told reporters on Friday morning that Webb will be the Giants’ Opening Day starter against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark on March 27, the fourth consecutive year that Webb has had the honor.

For a fourth consecutive year, Logan Webb will start Opening Day for the San Francisco Giants. The Giants have two multi-Cy Young award winners in the rotation with Justin Verlander and Robbie Ray occupying the second and third spots,
