A Los Angeles County high school basketball coach and his wife were among the three victims killed in a chain-reaction crash in California.

Jashanpree Singh was booked for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs in the chain-reaction crash on I-10 in Ontario, police said.

California Highway Patrol officers were called to westbound lanes of I-10 just west of the I-15 Freeway at around 1:15 p.m. Pacific after learning of the crash, according to the department's incident log.
