BC and BU will mark the first time the two schools have faced off in the championship game of the men’s Beanpot title since 2016.

The Terriers advanced to the championship game for the 57th time when they took down the Harvard Crimson 7-1 in the semifinals. Boston University is 31-25 in Beanpot finals. This will be the 23rd time the two rivals have met in the Beanpot Final. BU is 12-10 in championship games against the team from Chestnut Hill.

The No. 1 Boston College Eagles (21-4-1, 13-3-1 HE) men’s hockey team is looking for its 21st Beanpot title as it takes on the No. 9 Boston University Terriers (15-10-1, 10-6-1 HE) in the championship game on Monday night at TD Garden in Boston.

Coming out of the weekend, BC was first in the Hockey East standings and BU third. That puts the rivals on a collision course for another clash in next month’s tournament final.

Fowler won three games when the U.S. team captured the gold medal in the 2024 IIHF Junior World Championships and was a third-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2023 NHL SuperDraft. Fowler is at his best in the biggest arenas under the brightest lights.
