The two Minnesota Twins players ran into each other as they both chased down a shallow pop fly against the Baltimore Orioles. Buxton ran in to catch the ball off the bat of Cedric Mullins at full speed, somehow made the grab, then ran into Correa's back as both men hit the turf hard.
Carlos Correa exited the game immediately and was replaced by Jonah Bride. Byron Buxton stayed in for the remainder of the third inning but did not return for the fourth and was replaced by Ty France.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa and center fielder Byron Buxton left Thursday afternoon’s game against the host Baltimore Orioles following a collision in the bottom of the third inning.
The Baltimore batter tossed his bat gently up in the air and knocked it to the ground, then followed by spiking his helment more hardly into the grass. Hoye signaled to Laureano the ejection and the outfielder remarked a few choice words, took a couple of steps toward the umpire and pointed in his face before walking off.
