Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson remained in jail on Monday, charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon, the Associated Press reports.

Former NFL superstar Adrian Peterson was arrested in Texas over the weekend on charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon and driving while intoxicated.

Peterson has lived in the Houston area and was a star high school football player in East Texas, according to the AP.
