July 23 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson performed on Today as part of the show's Citi Concert Series Wednesday. The singer, 45, released an EP, Nashville Canyon, Pt.1 in March, and dropped the single "Fade" on Tuesday.

Jessica Simpson isn’t letting a little wardrobe mishap get in the way of her comeback! The singer, 44, suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the Wednesday, July 23 edition of Today when she took to the stage with new music after a 15-year hiatus.

Specifically in her new song “Fade,” Simpson—who split from husband Eric Johnson earlier this year after 10 years of marriage—seems to be referencing her former marriage and possible heartbreak surrounding it with lyrics like, “You’re as empty as your promise / Go sleep alone in the bed you made.”
